Face it, laptop bags aren't exactly the most exciting thing on earth, but if you pack a laptop around, they are essential to protect your expensive piece of equipment. They aren't all created equally though!

I've had a number of laptop bags over the years, including the traditional black leather look, a backpack, and a messenger bag. The messenger bag was a huge favorite, it just seemed to work easier and take up less space when it wasn't in use. The Timbuk2 bag manages to take the messenger bag style up a step by adding some great features, such as the luggage pass through, the TSA speedy access, and great organization. It doesn't hurt that it is put into a package with some seriously sturdy fabric and weather protection either.

There really aren't any "cons" to this bag, other than the fact that it isn't the cheapest one on the market. About all I can say about that is that we tend to get what we pay for. I've had cheap bags, and they consistently have poor quality workmanship resulting in failure in seams or hardware. I have no worries about that with this bag--I think I'll see it outlive a number of laptops, actually.

The workmanship is top notch, the materials are the same high quality. If you are looking for a quality bag for commuting or traveling with your laptop and other electronic gadgets, this is the answer. It holds a lot and packs it with an eye to both quality and capacity. Sure it isn't going to rate as "trendy" and it won't hold your chihuahua, but it will hold what it's supposed to!

  1. Absolutely perfect. I just loved the story. Beautifully written I felt as if I was in Scotland. I enjoyed Livingstone the dog. Fiona was a wonder I wish she were real I would love too be her friend.

  2. A fun romantic read with some laugh out loud situations. Leaving the lovemaking details to the readers imagination is a great change of pace from the usual lengthy, grasping for new adjectives sort of descriptions. The story gives us credit for intelligence and being able to read between the lines. Thanks, Nell Harding.

  3. This one is set in Scotland...fantastic!! I really enjoyed Nell Harding's latest book. Her writing is always so smart and funny but I think she really shines when writing in a more romantic-comedy style, like she does here. Even though this book returns to the Rom-Com style of her first novel, Fire and Ice, Nell still manages to be thought provoking at the same time. In this case, there is an underlying theme of class conflict in the UK. It adds another dimension to this thoroughly charming romance. This may be my favourite so far...

  4. Another fine effort from Nell Harding, who continues to hone her craft and produce romances with a bit more substance than usual. This time she's set her tale in Scotland, and she brings the setting to life with history, poetry and nature. I particularly liked the crisp, convincing dialogue between the charming Colin and the heroine. An entertaining, worthwhile read; I hope to see more romances flowing from Nell's keyboard in the near future

  6. Nell's latest book, set up in beautiful Scotland, is entertaining romance at her best, and makes me think of Fire and Ice. I loved every moment of it, and I'm looking forward to the day they make a movie out of this one - just imagine the sceneries!

  7. This is the second book I've enjoyed from this author's World Of Romance series. She brings enough detail into her location settings and occupations to ground her storyline in a sense of possible reality while avoiding pedantic descriptions that merely read as well-researched. Her plotting is light and full if dialogue which fleshes out her characters nicely. All in all, Ms Harding provides a well rounded bit of afternoon delight for any romance reader wanting to relax into a well told bit of escapism.

  8. A delightful romance, almost a romantic comedy really - Harding has done it again, and, as always, brings another beautiful corner of the world to light while keeping her reader thoroughly entertained. The characters area real and warm, the writing is solid and witty, and the read is pure fun romance. Definitely a major cut above your average romance writing - highly recommended. Looking forward already to her next book!
